Clolytic Business Email Configuration with Popular Email Clients

The Clolytic Business Email service is compatible with the main and most popular email clients, but generally fits all clients supporting standard POP, IMAP, and SMTP protocols. For sharing address books and calendars, the supported protocols are CardDAV, CalDAV, and Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync. The Professional and Enterprise plans allow you to share your address book and calendar across multiple devices while keeping all data synced with Clolytic Webmail.

Integration and Synchronization with Microsoft Outlook

There are no minimum requirements to use Outlook exclusively as an email client configured with POP/IMAP and SMTP. To access calendars and address books in Outlook, we recommend using version 2013 or newer, and the CalDAV Synchronizer plugin must be updated to the latest version. Please note that access to address book and calendar sharing services is only available for domains with a Professional or Enterprise plan.

To configure your email account and activate resource synchronization, the processes are based on the following steps:

1. Adding an Account in Outlook: Click on the File menu, select Add account, enter your email address, click on Advanced options, and check "Let me set up my account manually".
2. Configuring the Incoming Server (IMAP): Click Connect, choose IMAP, and set the parameters to imap.clolytic.com (Port: 993, Encryption: SSL/TLS).
3. Configuring the Outgoing Server (SMTP): Set the outgoing mail host to smtp.clolytic.com (Port: 465, Encryption: SSL/TLS), enter your password, click Connect, and select Done.
4. Initializing CalDAV Synchronizer: Download and run the CalDAV Synchronizer plugin installer, open Outlook, navigate to the eponymous tab, and select Synchronization Profiles.
5. Configuring the Sogo Profile: Click on the green "+" icon, select Sogo, set the DAV URL to https://dav.clolytic.com/SOGo/dav/, and fill in your email address and password.
6. Assigning and Mapping Folders: Click on "Discover resources and assign to Outlook folders" to map your elements to the correct folder types before setting your synchronization interval.

Microsoft Mail Configuration in Windows 10

Microsoft Mail is available for Windows from version 8 and up and can be used with all Clolytic Business Email plans and platforms. A properly configured client provides:

1. Automatic Webmail Synchronization: This configuration keeps your emails, address book, and calendars fully synchronized with your Webmail environment.
2. Advanced Initial Setup: In the Microsoft Mail side menu, click on Accounts, select Add account, choose Advanced setup, and click on Internet email.
3. Connection and Security Parameters: Enter your full email address as both Email Address and User Name, enter your password, set an Account Name, and enter your name as the sender. Set the incoming server to imap.clolytic.com, account type to IMAP4, and outgoing server (SMTP) to smtp.clolytic.com before clicking Sign In.

Mozilla Thunderbird Setup and Plugin Installation

To ensure the best user experience with Mozilla Thunderbird, we recommend using version 68 or newer, along with the specialized plugin for Clolytic Business Email. Full integration includes the following processes:

1. Configuring the Mailbox: Open the menu ( ☰ ), select Settings, go to Account settings, click on Account Actions, and select Add Mail Account.
2. Verifying and Testing the Connection: Enter a sender name, email, and password, manually set the incoming and outgoing servers with Clolytic's standard details, run the "Re-test" check, and click Done.
3. Installing the Specialized Plugin: Navigate to Add-ons > Extensions, click on the gear icon, and select "Install add-on from file..." to load the downloaded plugin.
4. Restarting and Finalizing Integration: After installation, click Restart now and enter your account information (for version 68, the Integrator plugin is included directly within the Connector file).
5. Validation of Network Contacts: You can verify the configuration by opening your Address Book from the main action bar to view your synchronized contacts.

Settings for Built-in macOS Applications

We recommend using the latest version of macOS to avoid synchronization conflicts. To activate the applications, the platform supports the following steps:

1. Apple Mail Configuration: Go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts, select Add Other Account..., and click on Mail account to enter your name, email, and password.
2. Defining Email Protocols: Click Sign in, choose IMAP or POP, set the incoming server to imap.clolytic.com and the outgoing server to smtp.clolytic.com, ensuring Mail and Notes are checked before finishing.
3. Address Book Synchronization (CardDAV): Return to Internet Accounts, select Add Other Account..., click on CardDAV Account, change the account type to Advanced, and enter your email as the username and your password.
4. CardDAV Host Parameters: Set the server address to dav.clolytic.com and the server path to /SOGo/dav/[your_email_address], using Port 443 with SSL enabled, before clicking Sign in to connect with the Contacts app.
5. Calendar Synchronization (CalDAV): Follow the exact same Advanced path in Internet Accounts, but select CalDAV Account, applying the identical credentials, port, and server paths.
6. Activating Delegated Resources: For shared calendars, go to Calendar > Settings > Accounts in the Mac Calendar app, select your account, click on Delegation, and check Show next to the corresponding delegated resource.

Mobile Parameters for Apple iOS (iPhone and iPad)

For mobile deployment on an iPhone or iPad, the operating system requires the following configuration steps:

1. Initializing the Mail Profile: Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts, select Add Account, choose Other, and tap Add Mail Account.
2. Defining Incoming and Outgoing Hosts: Enter a display name, email, password, and description. Tap Next, select IMAP, and set the incoming server to imap.clolytic.com and the outgoing server to smtp.clolytic.com.
3. Syncing and Storing Mail: Ensure your full email address and password are explicitly filled in both sections, tap Next, select Mail and Notes, and tap Save.
4. Contacts Synchronization (CardDAV): Navigate to Settings > Contacts > Accounts > Add Account > Other and select Add CardDAV account.
5. Calendar Synchronization (CalDAV): Navigate to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other and select Add CalDAV account.
6. Completing Background Synchronization: For both DAV accounts, define the server as dav.clolytic.com/SOGo/dav/[your_email_address], enter your email and password, tap Next, enable the respective switches, and press Save.

Email Client for Android and Deployment with Open Sync

Configuring email on Android devices requires the use of specialized software. Proper execution provides you with:

• Reliable Management via Samsung Email: Install Samsung Email, go to the app's settings menu, select Add account > Other, enter your details, and select IMAP account.
• Secure Mail Configuration: Set the IMAP server to imap.clolytic.com (Port: 993, Security: SSL) and the SMTP server to smtp.clolytic.com (Port: 465, Security: SSL with authentication required). Click Sign In and change the Email sync period to 1 month.
• Contacts and Calendars Deployment via Open Sync: Install the Open Sync and OpenTask apps from the Play Store, disable battery optimization for Open Sync when prompted, and tap the orange "+" button to create an account.
• Connection to Clolytic's DAV Infrastructure: Select "Login with URL and username", enter the Base URL as https://dav.clolytic.com/SOGo/dav, your email, and password, and click Login.
• VCards Mapping and Manual Refresh: Set the contact grouping method to "The groups are separate VCards", select Create Account, grant notification permissions, check the specific resources in the tab, and tap the two-arrow icon.
