What is Webmail?
Webmail is the corporate communication suite, developed by Clolytic, that allows you to send and read emails, manage and share your contacts and calendars, or exchange instant messages with your colleagues through the chatbox. You can use Webmail easily and quickly directly from the web, without having to install any software or configure new devices. This allows you to always have all essential online communication tools at your fingertips and helps you to better manage daily communications, both in and out of office.
Webmail login and configuration requirements
To use the Webmail, you only need a computer or a smartphone with an internet connection. Enter https://webmail.clolytic.com/login in the address bar of your browser and log in by entering your credentials. Note that your domain administrator may have restricted access to your Webmail only when you are connected to the corporate VPN, so check this with your administrator prior to completing the login procedure. If you have two-factor authentication activated in your domain settings, you will be asked to enter an additional OTP code.
At your first login, a short guided procedure will help you complete your profile. You will be asked to either confirm or modify the data entered when you created the account (Name, Surname, etc.) and, if you fancy, to enrich your profile with a headshot. By clicking the Save button, the settings will be saved and you will access the Webmail. To log out from Webmail, click on your avatar at the top right corner of the navigation bar and then select the Logout button from the menu.
Profile configuration and interface preferences
The account settings section allows you to manage information about your user and the security measurements for the account. To change the settings, click on the settings icon at the top right corner of the navigation bar. Once the sidebar opens, you can select the entry corresponding to the settings that you wish to modify. In the Profile section, you can upload a headshot avatar for your profile to be shown to your contacts, and edit your personal information to choose which details will be displayed to them.
Under General Settings, you can configure the language, time zone, and default date and time format for the interface of your webmail. The languages currently available for the system interface are Italian, English, Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Greek, and Serbian. In the Notifications section, you can choose whether to receive notifications when you have the Webmail open on your browser, when it is open on a hidden browser, or when the browser is open but the Webmail window itself is hidden.
Core benefits of browser notification management
Why should an individual enable browser notifications for their webmail suite instead of checking it manually? The answer lies in three main advantages:
- Extreme resilience: Real-time delivery allows you to stay updated instantly on incoming critical issues, ensuring that you receive notification alerts immediately when a new message is delivered to the inbox without constant manual page refreshes.
- Speed of innovation: Seamless cross-platform capability means you can easily activate notifications on popular browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and Brave, ensuring rapid response times during active work sessions.
- Cost optimization: Resource awareness keeps the platform efficient; if you do not want to receive notifications when your browser is open, you can simply log off Webmail. Note that Safari and iOS do not currently support this notification system.
The implementation of account security and active sessions
Account security requires a strong setup. To set a new password, go to the security section in the settings and click on the Change password button. You need to enter your current password first, then write a new password, confirm it, and click Save. For greater security, your password must be at least 8 characters-long and contain a mix of letters and numbers. You can also change your account password by accessing the Control Panel with the same access credentials.
To use two-factor authentication (2FA), install Google Authenticator or any other OTP application on your smartphone. Go to security settings, click Activate OTP, scan the QR Code, and enter the generated numeric code. To disable it, click Disable OTP, enter the application code, and confirm. If your domain administrator has mandated 2FA, you cannot permanently disable this policy. Finally, the Open Sessions section lets you monitor active device footprints in real time; you can click Terminate to disconnect a specific device, or click Terminate All to log out from all external devices instantly.
